Welcome to The Tech Side

I have always been a geek, breaking things down, fixing them, putting them back together. My motto? How hard can it be? I figure if someone else can do it, so can I. That attitude led to my writing career in the first place, and the same outlook led me to writing about technology and what is now known as “the internet of things.” I also ended up writing about consumer technology for someone when a hiring editor asked what qualifications I had. I confessed to having opened up a laptop and replaced a hard drive on my own. Because how hard could it be, right?

I write about hardware, software, consumer technology, and how to use things. I have written about phone systems, astronomy, ice machines, cordless headsets for the quick-service restaurant industry and more. I have developed websites for groups and written the user manuals for those groups. I coach “people of a certain age” on efficient use of of their devices.

I also paint watercolors, often of food, cook for fun, dance the Argentine tango and read. A lot.
